‘’ Two buildings struggling for one window’’ (‘’Δύο κτίρια μαλώνουν για ένα παράθυρο’’)
Το έργο "T́wo buildings struggling for one window", είναι μια εγκατάσταση που αποτελείται από ένα μεταλλικό γλυπτό και μια ελαιογραφία σε καμβά μεγάλου μεγέθους. Παρουσιάζει ένα δεσμό δυο κτιρίων που βρίσκονται σε συμπλοκή, εμπρός σε ένα ουράνιο ζωγραφικό φόντο που θυμίζει στρεβλωμένο παράθυρο."
Τα δύο κτίρια, εμφανίζουν στοιχεία δίποδης υπόστασης και ταυτίζοντάς τα με τον άνθρωπο, διακρίνεται ξεκάθαρα η διαφορά στάσης του σταθερότερου από αυτή του ασταθέστερου. Μη έχοντας δείγματα ή στοιχεία ‘’αναπνοής’’, όπως πόρτες και παράθυρα, προσπαθούν να ακυρώσουν την αρχική κατασκευή τους και διεκδικούν, αυτό που δεν μπορούν να έχουν και φαίνεται να βρίσκεται ακριβώς μπροστά τους. Μια προσωπική αλλά και ιδιωτική θέα. Ένα μεγάλο παράθυρο με θέα στον ουρανό, που το έχουν πολύ μεγάλη ανάγκη και νιώθουν ότι, θα μπορέσει να οργανώσει την ολοκλήρωση τους."
Το έργο δημιουργήθηκε για να σχολιάσει με αλληγορικό τρόπο, ανθρώπινες συνθήκες όπως, ο κτιριακός εγκλεισμός που επιφέρει προστασία και ασφάλεια, η επίδειξη δύναμης στις διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις, αλλά και η ανάγκη για ιδιωτική απόλαυση. Σχολιάζονται επίσης, η ανθρώπινη ματαιοδοξία, η απληστία αλλά και η αβεβαιότητα εμπρός στην αμετρία του γύρω τοπίου.

Dimitris Fragakis is participating in a group exhibition at Kalfayan Aristotelous Project Space 2 in Thessaloniki with title “ It Began as a Mistake'' and curated by Eirini Papakostantinoy art Historian and curator of the State Museum of Contemporary Art.
Main theme is going to be the stagnation and alienation experienced by modern man, for his repeated and without effect attempts towards self-determination and salvation from the compulsion to standard lifestyle and working conditions imposed by the system.

Christina martinets participates in the Group Exhibition with her work "Wounded Books", on 1-16 October 2016, Bouzianis Museum, 27 Bouziani str, Dafni. Part of the 1st European Arts and Mental Health Festival NEFELE. Openning party: Saturday 1st of October, 18.00.
This exhibition is inspired by the convergence of art with psychoanalysis and by the manifestos of artistic movements which meet with Freud and Jung. The landmark of this meeting is automatism, the technique of modernism that unlocks the unconscious, aiming to raw artistic creation («art brut»*). Automatism, according to the correspondence between Breton and Freud, is a parallel to psychoanalysis. Freud used automatism in the diagnosis and treatment of unresolved complexes, while surrealists used it to purge the innermost repressed desires.The exhibition aims to display contemporary artwork based on automatism or some of those games. The visitors are invited to create their own artwork “playing”. They are invited to perceive the unconscious as a playground and exploration field, not something we should hide or be afraid of. At this point we reach to destigmatization.
DEPO DARM will participate in Art Athina 2016 International Art Fair from 26 to 29 May 2016 .

Christina Mitrentse, who is known for constructing provocative narratives and poetic ensembles of idiosyncratic institutions through manifold processes of vintage book sculpture, drawing, screen-printing, and productions of site-specific installations i.e #ATML international project, is participating in the group exhibition DR/OP, which is organised by ONLY CONNECT. The show is taking place in Komyoji-Kaikan, 2–1 Higashitsuchido-cho in Onomichi-shi Hiroshima, Japan.

Oι εικαστικοί Γιώργος Τσεριώνης και Χριστίνα Μήτρεντσε - η οποία και εκθέτει έργα της στη διατομική έκθεση "Artificial Memories" που παρουσιάζεται στην Depo Darm τη τρέχουσα περίοδο - συμμετέχουν στην ομαδική έκθεση "Η Τυπογραφία ως καλλιτεχνική πράξη" η οποία στεγάζεται στο Κρατικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης (Μονή Λαζαριστών) σε επιμέλεια Μαρίας Τσαντσάνογλου, Διευθύντρια του Κρατικού Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης και Συραγώς Τσιάρα, Διευθύντρια του Κέντρου Σύχγρονης Τέχνης Θεσσαλονίκης.
Η έκθεση συνδέεται με την 13η Διεθνή έκθεση Βιβλίου Θεσσαλονίκης (12-15 Μαΐου, 2016) και με το «6ο Συνέδριο για την Τυπογραφία και την οπτική επικοινωνία» (5-9 Ιουλίου, 2016).

Τhe artists Giorgos Tserionis and Christina Mitrentse - Mitrentse who exhibits her work in the two persons show "Artificial Memories" which is currently presented in Depo Darm - are participating in the group exhibition "Typography as an act of art" which is taking place in the State Museum of Contemporary Art (Moni Lazariston), curated by Maria Tsantsanoglou, Director at the State Museum of Contemporary Art, and Syrago Tsiara Director at the Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki. The exhibition connexes to the “13th Thessaloniki International Book Fair” (12-15.05.2016) and the “6th International Conference on Typography and Communication” (5-9.07.2016)
"Final Destination"
Την Τετάρτη 7 Οκτωβρίου 2015 παρουσιάζεται στον Διεθνή Αερολιμένα Αθηνών "Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος", η ομαδική έκθεση φωτογραφίας και βίντεο με τίτλο “Τελικός Προορισμός”, σε επιμέλεια της Ιστορικού Τέχνης Άννας Χατζηνάσιου. Σύγχρονοι Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες φωτογραφίζουν τοπία, εσωτερικούς χώρους, πόλεις αποτυπώνοντας το φυσικό ή το τεχνητό περιβάλλον, που συνεχώς αλλάζει και αλλοιώνεται. Tα έργα τους, είτε σκηνοθετημένα είτε όχι, διακατέχονται σταθερά από την έννοια της μεταβολής και της εξέλιξης του εκάστοτε τοπίου.
Τον πρώτο λόγο στην έκθεση “Τελικός προορισμός” δεν έχει τόσο το θεματικό περιεχόμενο των έργων, όσο το προσωπικό αποτύπωμα, που αφήνει ο κάθε δημιουργός ξεχωριστά. Στα έργα τους είναι έκδηλη η αγάπη τους για το ελληνικό τοπίο. Οι φωτογραφίες τους πραγματεύονται τη σχέση του ανθρώπου με τον κόσμο και με τον εαυτό́ του. Αυτό που ο φωτογράφος τοπίου προσπαθεί να κάνει, είναι να δείξει ταυτόχρονα το παρελθόν, το παρόν και το μέλλον. Ο τρόπος παρουσίασης και η επιλογή των έργων θα επιχειρήσει να καλλιεργήσει ενδιαφέροντες συσχετισμούς μεταξύ των καλλιτεχνών και των φωτογραφιών τους σ' έναν ειδικά διαμορφωμένο χώρο μέσα στο αεροδρόμιο, όπου εκατοντάδες επισκέπτες από όλο τον κόσμο περνούν καθημερινά ώστε να καταλήξουν στον τελικό προορισμό τους.

Ο Αλέξανδρος Λαμπροβασίλης, με το έργο του “Ελληνικόν”, το οποίο ολοκληρώθηκε σε χρονικό διάστημα έξι ετών, και του οποίου απόσπασμα παρουσιάζεται παράλληλα και στην γκαλερύ DEPO DARM, καταγράφει με καθηλωτική ακρίβεια την εξελικτική πορεία κατάρρευσης του πρότερου Διεθνούς Αεροδρομίου της Αθήνας και την επιβλητική επιρροή του χρόνου όπως έχει αποτυπωθεί σε μια άλλοτε πολυσύχναστη περιοχή. Φωτογραφίζει τα απομεινάρια της ανθρώπινης δραστηριότητας που συνδέει τα σύμβολα μιας χρονικής περιόδου η οποία έχει φθάσει στο τέλος της.
Η έκθεση θα διαρκέσει μέχρι τις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2015.

"Final Destination"
On Wednesday October 7th 2015, a group photography and video exhibition titled “Final destination” is presented at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, curated by the art historian Anna Chatzinassiou. Contemporary Greek artists photograph interiors, cities and landscapes, depicting the natural and the artificial environment that is submitted to continuous change. Their works, staged or not, are continuously characterized by the idea of transformation and evolution of the natural or man-made landscape.
The exhibition “Final destination” consists rather of the personal recollections of each artist, narrated by them in such a way as to leave their personal imprint. In their works, their love for the Greek landscape is evident. Their photographs deal mostly with man’s relationship to the world and to himself. What a landscape photographer tries to do is to show simultaneously the past, the present and the future.
Visitors will thereby have the opportunity to see not only the development of each artist's work through time, but also those elements, which consistently run through their work and constitute a basic element of their reflections. Moreover, the selection of works, as well as the hanging of the exhibition is trying to create interesting correlations between the artists and their photographs by using of the uniqueness of the space, whereby hundreds of travellers are daily passing by in order to get to their final destination.

Alexandros Lambrovasilis, with his ongoing project “ Ellinikon” that was completed in a six years period, of which an excerpt is parallelly presented at DEPO DARM gallery, documents with riveting specificity the progressive collapse of the former International Airport of Athens and the compelling effects of time, as imprinted in the actual state of an aforetime busy area. He is photographing the remains of human activity in the district that compose the symbols of an era that has come to an end.
The exhibition will last till December 31st 2015.
